Like the Dimetrodon, the Diplocaulus is not actually a dinosaur, but a type of primitive amphibian!
Diplocaulus fossils have been discovered in rock dating back from the Permian period in North America and Morocco.
Outside of Jurassic World's living zoo, there are only two Diplocaulus specimens on display; both are in the United States!
Did you know that Diplocaulus means 'double caul'? This salamander-like amphibian has a boomerang-shaped skull.
