Despite being separated by several million years, the Titanoboa is very closely related to current snakes in the Pacific Islands.

The Titanoboa is considered a Superpredator, meaning it was at the top of the food chain during its time period, having no predator of its own.

Contrary to popular belief, its body is not round. The vertebrae are shaped with a large base and are at their highest in the middle.

During design of the Titanoboa Gen 2, InGen scientists discovered it had more teeth than previously thought, distinctly more than our modern day snakes.
