The Ophthacerapsis has a similar head shape to the Diploceraspis, with a unique skull shaped like a boomerang.

Like the Ophthalmosaurus, the Ophthacerapsis does not lay eggs. Instead, she births her young via live birth, similar to a mammal.

The Ophthacerapsis has exceptional eyesight, allowing it to more easily spot predators both on land and in the sea.

Though they are small, the teeth of the Ophthacerapsis are incredibly sharp. This allows it to easily devour fish and large insects at mealtime.
