Facts
As an apex predator, Rhomaleosaurus ate a wide range of sea creatures including ichthyosaurs, molluscs, and even other plesiosaurs!
At 23 feet, the Rhomaleosaurus was one of the biggest plesiosaurs of its time!
With some almost complete specimens, the massive Rhomaleosaurus is among the best preserved marine reptiles!
The first Rhomaleosaurus found by humans was discovered in 1848 in Yorkshire, England.
