Facts
The Aquilops is ceratopsian dinosaur from the Early Cretaceous period.
It takes its name from the latin word "Aquila", meaning "eagle", as a reference to the shape of its beak.
The snout beak of the Aquilops serves to dig and unearth roots and other food sources an herbivore would enjoy.
Aquilops remains were unearthed with bite marks matching with a velociraptor's jaw profile. This suggests the Aquilops were prey to the Velociraptor at some point in history.
