I admit, I have a real soft spot for Oviraptor. They're clever and charismatic, but so misunderstood.
Maiasaura gets all the credit for being a "good mother" dinosaur, but Oviraptor are really quite gentle and attentive parents, too, despite their bad reputation.
The vets say we have to keep an eye out for any joint pain or stiffness in their legs. They're concerned that compared to the sand dunes they would have encountered in their natural environment, this substrate could be too firm. Caring for dinosaurs like Oviraptor is delicate business!
I'm glad that our park can be one more source combating the old story that Oviraptor are malicious egg thieves. The worst thing this Oviraptor has ever tried to steal was my hat! And my keys... And my tea! ... but only because they were shiny!
