Mortem Rex's name means "Death King", a fitting name for such a fearsome creature.
This creature mutated and evolved much more than what was anticipated by InGen scientists, leading to its current appearance.
InGen scientists are still puzzled by the presence of dorsal spines on its back, as they are usually a defense mechanism against other predators.
It has been observed that the Mortem Rex possesses a specific territorial behavior, showcasing intelligence by tolerating other types of dinosaurs in its environment.
