Compsognathus was discovered as an almost complete skeleton in 1859 in Bavaria, Germany then a second was found in France in 1971.

The size of the Bavarian skeleton made it believed to be chiken-sized, but now it's thought as a juvenile, making it much bigger!

While it's thought Compsognathus preyed on small vertebrates, an hungry pack could hunt bigger creatures!

For decades, Compsognathus was the smallest known non-avian dinosaur, but Microraptor and Mahakala were discovered later.
