EVO1		Enchodus or "spear tooth" swam worldwide between the late Cretaceous and early Eocene periods.
EVO2		Because of its large fangs, fossil hunters have given Enchodus the misleading nickname "the saber-toothed herring".
EVO3		Although Enchodus was not necessarily a deep sea fish, its skull has striking similarities to today's angler and viper fish.
EVO4		It is unclear if the Enchodus hunted in packs. If it did, it would pose a bigger threat to prey than a school of piranhas.
